We should pray because prayer is the lifeline between God and His people—it connects us to His presence, power, and purpose. Here are several key reasons why prayer is vital:

1. Prayer builds relationship with God
Prayer is how we talk to our Heavenly Father. It deepens our intimacy with Him, helping us know His heart and align our will with His.
📖 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

2. Prayer brings guidance and wisdom
Through prayer, God gives direction for our lives and reveals His plans.
📖 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally.” — James 1:5

3. Prayer strengthens faith
When we pray and see God answer, our trust in Him grows stronger.
📖 “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” — Matthew 21:22

4. Prayer provides peace
Prayer replaces anxiety with peace, as we lay our burdens before God.
📖 “Do not be anxious about anything… but in everything by prayer and supplication… the peace of God… will guard your hearts.” — Philippians 4:6–7

5. Prayer invites God’s power into situations
Prayer moves the hand of God to act in our lives, families, and communities.
📖 “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” — James 5:16

6. Prayer aligns us with God’s will
It’s not about changing God’s mind, but allowing Him to change our hearts and align our desires with His purposes.
📖 “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10

7. Prayer brings spiritual victory
Through prayer, we overcome temptation, resist the devil, and walk in spiritual authority.
📖 “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation.” — Matthew 26:41

[1
["post-189","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
